There were magnifying spectacles for early reflex cameras, you didn't wear them instead they hung in the focus hood. Imagine the above with combined spectacles to aid focusing.

I've got the modern day version made by Sinar. It works great.

A similar idea , I had the opticians make a pair of glasses specifically for large format photography.
The left lens is for distance use , the right lens is for viewing the ground glass at about 4" distance .
I first had them made for use with a Crown Graphic with a pop up hood .
When focussing I could work without a loupe , when I looked up to check the scene my left eye took over .
Takes a bit of getting used to , but easy enough and saves keep changing glasses over .
A bit like I image wearing a monacal .

Oh really? What’s its name? I’ve actually come to really like the sinar indoors.
I’m not sure if the official name but it attaches to the reflex viewer. Maybe it’s in your Sinar book?

Actually, if you download a copy of SINAR CODE you’ll find it in there.

Found it. I’ve not seen the one why ch attaches to bag bellows, only the big metal version.

Ah, ok. Mine came with a Sinar camera kit I bought. Can't remember which one. The bag bellows attach to the ground glass frame.
