Hello Keith,

All versions of Sandy Kings Pyrocat Formula are described here...

Solution B is the same for all Pyrocat Formulae.

I still use HDC.

On the Pyrocat hd 5x4 site pyrocat hd has pot.bromide 2g to make 1ltr stock mixed in water

Pot. Bromide 1g in 1 ltr glycol stock
Why the difference, is the 2g in water a typo?

It is a typo, hover the Bromide isn't needed. When mixed 1+1 to 100 there's only 0.0001gm/l (or 0.0002).

Would it be advisable to add a small amount of pot. Bromide or benzotriazole to the working developer when using pyrocat hd to develop film long past its expiry date? Or is there a version of pyrocat hd that produces the minimum amount of fog during development?

Adding Bromide is not necessary, and you never need to add Benzotriazole to film developers. They are only used in PQ paper developers to prevent warmth.

I use Benzo sometimes when developing very expired films and it helps reduce base fog. At least that's what I've found.
