I used to use this website "www.schneideroptics.com/info/vintage_lens_data/large_format_lenses" as a good resource when looking to buy a lens .
Apart from details of the lenses construction and filter thread size it also detailed lens coverage and available movement on different formats .

Now when you click on the link
( eg . https://www.schneideroptics.com/info/vintage_lens_data/large_format_lenses/xenar/data/4,5-105mm.html )
It automatically redirects you to https://schneiderkreuznach.com/en .

Does anyone know if Schneider has scrubbed all information on older lenses , or has it just been moved and I cant find it ?

Luckily I have found it still on the Way back machine ; http://web.archive.org/web/20160413...m/info/vintage_lens_data/large_format_lenses/

So at least the information hasn't been totally lost .
just thought I'd share the information in case anyone's looking for it as a Google search came up blank on a lens I was looking for .

Last time Schneider did a website makeover they put the data back because of demand. Lets hope they do this again. I think I mirrored it all some years ago :D

However the Wayback machine is our friend.

I think I'll see if I can save the pages or print them as well .
It's very useful information to have , I can't see why the scrubbed it .

While the data's very useful it's just from one point in Schneider's production history. Not all lenses are listed and that includes some some interesting ones like the post WWII Convertible sets, Schneider Dagors.

Luckily the Internet means some other data is available elsewhere :D

Thank you for this, needed to find a thread size for a Symmar-S 240mm and this thread came up in google.

I have the lens but not an 86mm filter to test.
I can confirm that 82mm is too small so I also believe 86mm.

Yeah I have a set of Neewer stepper rings, but the largest size they go up to is 82mm. So had to buy just one specific stepper ring. Have found the set very useful though, and all my other lenses are smaller in diameter.

Thanks everyone. I'll be able to use filters on mine now :)
