First test with Ilford F.P.4. glass dry plates. Unknown expiry but I have it on good authority that the packaging dates to circa 1950s.

Ross Reflex 4.25 x 3.25 inches
Zeiss 11.5inch f6.3 lens
ISO 5, 2secs f6.3
Overcast daylight and LED panel indoors
Stand developed in Rodinal 1+100 for 1 hour

Great result!
Looks to be very stable.
Thank you. I'm very pleased so far. Two plates in the pack were stuck together by their non-emulsion sides. I eventually managed to get them apart so fingers crossed they'll be ok.

Nas, I love what you are doing here, but you know how I feel about that head [shudders]

. . . in fact I’m going to hunt down a nice, big round white jug or vase for you. Then next time I can admire pictures of flowers or leaves instead.

Ha! I have some but as I enjoy portrait photography so much, Fred (the head) gives me a better idea of how a lens or film/plate will perform. I don't plan on using any more of the F.P.4. plates on Fred, they're far too precious. Maybe you can be my first human volunteer? :)
