5x7 Film Back

I have just printed this Rittreck 5x7 film back for my camera, I have the 4x5 film but wanted to see if this would work. Its not my design, it was on Thingy Verse made by Hawkeyes0v0. I made the ground glass from 3mm acrylic sheet and sprayed with frosting spray. This view is with a 360mm lense fitted, I have just ordered some film and a film back to try it out.

That looks very nice , all I have printed so far is lens boards for the pacemaker graphics - the curled metal edges are not easy to diy but easy to 3D.
I need somewhere to site the printer for longer to try more , The film Laundry guy Awty? Has some great designs Including his 7x17 camera that I would love to do if I had space/time and less projects.

that's a great result , in my opinion5x7 is worth the effort for B&W when you have the means to DIY and work around things.
The format is natural , the GG image is more comfortable toward with than 5x4 (likewise the contact print is viable) and most of all
its much more practical than 8x10 to carry , not so much the camera , Intrepids are light , it's the film holders that are bulky/heavy`

I think I'm just so used to 4x5 and 8x10 that the 5x7 aspect ratio just looked so much wider in relation to its height. It's no where near so square and "box like" and took me completely by surprise. It's a proper rectangular form!
