My Toyo 45A has, what appears to be, a 1/2 inch tripod thread. I've never seen a 1/2 inch tripod thread before. I'm looking for an adapter to convert it to 3/8 inch but can't find one. Anyone ever seen such an item? It does have an adapter for 1/4 inch already in it.

Such things may exist , this is one I found searching eBay. Mover seen or used one and the thread may be wrong , ideally a Toyo manual or accessory list would tell you the thread pitch

Thanks for that. But the 1/2 inch side has the wrong pitch. That is 13 tpi and the camera has 20 tpi.

From the Toyo manual, the cameras were originally supplied with both 3/8 and 1/4 adapters. The 1/4 is fine to use, it's not a heavy camera, but I would have prefered to use a 3/8 if I could.

The way the manual reads the camera is normally fitted with a 1/4" adaptor, but could be supplied with the 3/8" adaptor. And then you can unscrew the one, and screw in the other,

Another for Brian Kumar.

The manual I have says both were supplied with the camera but, inevitably, the 3/8 one would have been rarely used and then lost.
