Not sure if this is allowed, but I spotted this on Facebook. Cheap Paterson Orbital in Essex if anyone is after one.

Not sure if this is allowed,

I don't think anyone can object to a heads-up like this, it isn't like you are promoting your own listing, and at that price really is a bargain. Shame it's collection only/

I was warned not to use the motorised base for film processing, as with the much longer development times with film you get very uneven processing due to the uncreased agitation at thee tank's edges.

Thanks. That was my concern.

Oh. I won’t try it with my HP5. When I grab some foma 200 I’ll be more willing to try.

I have also read that the motorised base is a bad idea, I think the inevitably slightly random and inconsistent nature of hand agitation actually helps as it prevents standing wavs patterns and this sort of thing.

My tip for doing 10x8" film in the Orbital is to use 250ml of developer and rotate it very slowly and gently. If you go too quick, or use too little fluid, you get underdevelopment in the middle of the sheet. Too much fluid and it'll be more likely to spill out.
