I remember visiting the area many years ago to do some photography. We photographed the River Allen but i don't think we went to Allenheads. Just as well, probably, if that's what happens to your car.......

According to the DVLA this 1959 car had an MOT until 2007. A life span of 48 years is more than I can hope for with my car.

Kevin, have you got any more photographs from this area?

This one is near Sinderhope, a few miles down the dale. Remains of structures associated with pumping water from lead mines.

Thanks Kevin. These are very good. The first speaks of the tough life those lead miners had.

I like the chimney shot. I think I might have the same 120mm lens somewhere. If it's the one I'm thinking of it came on a small Horseman board which someone attached to a Sinar board.
