Not sure if this will be of interest to anyone but this is a little article about my first experience with a large format camera.

Great piece, it brings back memories of the first time I used 5x4 film, and the trepidation of loading the film, putting the darkslide in the camera, cocking the shutter etc etc.

Thank you Matt, I have a feeling its going to take a while for that feeling to wear off !

One thing I like about using a 5 x 4 camera is that it becomes an important part in the selection process when deciding whether or not to take a picture. This is because it takes time to set everything up. You have to be really sure that you want to take the picture because of the effort involved in setting everything up. So an important part of the process takes place when the camera is still in the bag.

Something I very much noted at the church, there's a lot of stuff to be lugging about !
