New 75mm Fujinon

New Fujinon 75mm F/5.6 , thanks to Jonathan Woods, looks great! Fits on the Toyo 45A II fine.

I think 75mm lenses are great.
Quite a bit wider than 90mm and better coverage than 65mm.
A wonderful compliment to any set.

A recessed lensboard might be worth your while.

Nice. How is the brightness of your ground glass with the 75mm?
It's OK, the ground glass has a built in fresnel. Certainly easier than my 65mm F8! Even that is just about manageable but an app like viewfinder helps in composition if you can't quite see everything.

I am on the look out for recessed one, not that easy to find for Toyo though. I did try some 3d printed boards but they don't fit very well and put a strain on the lens retaining latch. If all else fails I might get a 3d printed one and sand it down to fit.

65mm f8, you better hot it’s a bright clear summers days lol.

I’ve got an app called viewfinder which I use before I even take anything out. It’s rather useful i must say.

I see the silvestri x6 angled loupe in the background. I’ve wondered how more effective it is to a x6 or x7 without the swivel ability

75mm is a nice focal length, I have f5.6 & f8 75mm Super Angulons. The f8 is used scale focussed on a 6x17 camera, I find the f5.6 easy to focus on my Wista 45DX.

That looks like a Linhof/Wista style lens board, you can get a metal recessed one for £30 at the moment. I'd buy it for my 65m f8 SA but my shutter is a Compur #00.

There are quite a few Toyo recessed lens boards on eBay, there's even one for my Half Plate Toyo View, which is essentially Pacemaker Graphic fit.

The Toyo 45a board is a touch bigger, I did have a camera with the linhof boards and had to change all my lenses to the Toyo ones.

Toyo used at least 3 different fit lens boards on 5x4 cameras, I do have Toyo branded Linhof/Wista style lens boards. There are genuine Toyo 45a recessed lens boards on eBay, it's a case of waiting for one at a reasonable price.

Yes, I'm pretty sure it is that size.

Shot some Portra 400 yesterday on this lens yesterday. The ground glass even in the daylight is easily visible with just the focusing hood! The GG on the Toyo is particularly good.
