Anybody know of a reputable house that could service/repair a Compur 1 shutter?

You could try Newton Ellis in Liverpool although I think they are winding down prior to closing up shop.

Thanks people.
Is there anyone here who maybe able to offer advice to a "DIY Type"?
The problem I have is my Schneider Symmar-s cable release socket is a bit wobbly.
I'm hoping an experienced lens person can tell me it's an easy home fix.

I’ve only sent Copal shutters, but I can’t see why not. You could email them with your specific problem. They reply quickly.

I'm reproducing a post I made in April 2023. John Quantick of Black on White in Bristol (Black on White) may still be active, although officially retired, and particularly enjoyed working on Schneider lenses and Copal and Compur shutters, I believe, according to his wife:

"I visited John Quantick's Black on White today and found out that he is planning to retire and there's a note on the shop door stating that they will not be taking in any more repairs.

However, when I spoke to his wife and presented my Symmar 210/5.6 for a clean and service, she said that they would take this on, as this is the kind of work he really enjoys (he's done this service before on my other lenses - a 90mm Angulon and a 150mm Symmar). She said that he was having to deal with a winding-up backlog of complex and demanding repairs, and welcomes the chance to have a bit of a change by doing this kind of traditional lens work that he thrives on. She also said that it was worth keeping his contact details, as they might set up a little workshop at home for him to continue some of his favourite work in retirement."
