The entire roll has these lines running through all the frames and appear to be continuous.

Film: Ilford HP5
Developer: XTOL
Camera: TLR
Paterson Development Tank

Hmmm. Possibly mottling from the backing paper. What's the expiry date of the film? There's a contact form on the Ilford website where you can report technical issues like this. They will check the batch number. I've had similar in the past and they replaced the film but not for quite a while.

On my. screen it looks like a wood grain effect that caries on to the right of the frame with the 3 lines clear?
If all the frames were they all taken in. the same place - to trace a light leak ?Or could it be a processing relic?
Need more story to guess I think

Thanks, I will check the expiry date, it might be in that era where they had issues. I shall put a fresh roll through tomorrow and test it again

Contact Ilford with details of this and they will help troubleshoot it. I've had issues with mottling on HP5 that was due to having taken the film in and out of the fridge (likely then some form of condensation issue, possibly if the foil wrapper was slightly compromised. I think the paper Ilford uses is more prone to this compared to the more plastic-like stuff Kodak use. It would be interesting to know if you'd had this film in and out of the fridge repeatedly?

I personally havent had it in the fridge but It was some I bought on eBay last year so who knows where its been. The expirty date on the box was 2024
