Has anyone had success "scanning" physical prints using a digital camera? If so, how does one overcome the common issues of print curling and edge ripple to get the print flat enough for the capture?

As long as the image doesn't extend to the edges of the paper, simply tape down or put weights around the edge. Allow for a decent depth of field.

Also, place the print under a very heavy weight for a few days before attempting to "scan".

We regularly print to A2 paper in an 80cm x 60 cm frame and, to avoid curling or buckling, we use 2mm self-adhesive backing board, which stops the paper from moving.
