Following on from last nights post, here is a little update on our discussions with Kodak about sheet film and how we can help keep prices down for you:

This is what Kodak have given us:
"We have been very aggressive on price for you. Note four items are discounted further as the they only have 6-9 month before the quoted expiry date, in truth they will perform normally for many years past the expiry date"
There's a limited amount available and though we'd love to buy it all in we must watch cashflow as we have other things on the go too....so we have asked for these as part of this next order:

2no ~ Portra 160 5x7
2no ~ Tmax100 10x8
2no ~ Tmax400 10x8
7no ~ 320TXP 10x8
Our prices to you will be equally aggressive.

I have happily processed Tri-X from the 1970s within the last few years and it's just fine. There can be some increase in fog level (which tends to lower contrast) but this can be handled in the printing/post scanning activity. Something this "new" should be more than fine.

(I actually developed and printed Super XX that expired in 1961 a few years ago. It was just fine photographically. The only issues were mechanical with sheets sticking together and such.)
