Durst Multigraph

Yes. The 4x5 and the 6x9. The electronics are both the blessing and the curse.

The closed-loop can be temperamental, and programming papers is not user-friendly by today's standards.

Is it possible to get a 'beautiful' print first time round?
Yes, and with zero experience.
Would I like it to be my one and only enlarger? No.

However, it's backed up by several others Durst enlargers; CLS 501, VLS 501 with Elite 2000 AF, and Femokit.

The Multigraph is the quickest and easiest, straight out of the blocks.
The VLS with Auto Focus wins hands down when enlarging from small test prints to big prints at the push of a button.
The CLS is the gold standard colour head from Durst.
The Femokit is the 'old school' condenser head.

Thanks for the description. Perhaps an under the lens Multigrade filter set and a Zonemaster II would be a more practical option.
