Came across this tank..stainless..18cm x 20.5cm ..4 litre... one of a series of storage containers. (the smallest)

The photo shows the largest just for info....
It (the smallest) could by the size (18cm x 20.5cm ) accept a basket or holders for 5x4 film.
Might check one out and see how it goes using a diy Perspex multi film holder (DIY)

Nothing ventured............:)

I think Joanna has hit the nail on the head, be useful as a developing tank, you need to be able to add & remove liquids without light getting to the film.
It would be possible to modify those lovely stainless vessels to provide light tight routes, but it would be much easier to modify a painted tupperware box, or if you have a darkroom available simply use tray development...

How are you planning on po
I aint got that far-yet - but if you come up with any idea let me know!

At their price - - (considering the price of some plastic developing tanks etc....) - - cheap enough to have a few
develop/wash/ fix/sink wash
(same as I did 75 years ago with glass plates.in dishes).
Nothing fancy in those days

Might come to nothing so use 'em in the kitchen for storage!

You could probably cut part of the lid away and epoxy in the light-trap pouring bit from any old knackered plastic dev tank lid.

I thought of that but stainless is a bit difficult.. )
.I wont worry too much about a light trap as I intend to use X-ray film with red led safelight...
All this to keep the brain active....☺️

Ref this idea. Forget it!! I found the bottom is not sealed altho epoxy could seal bottom to body.
New Use....>Takes about 2 kilos of Irish oats for porridge tho. :D
