I spotted a nice looking old camera for sale, in yesterday's Yorkshire Post. It is being sold by the auctioneer Hawleys in Hull, in an on-line auction. It is described as an early 20thC. Reynolds and Branson mahogany folding plate camera made in Leeds, with two lenses and original carry case. Expected to fetch between £200 and £400. The size is not given but it looks to be half plate.

It's late 19th C, two reasons square cornered bellows went out of use around 1900, but more importantly the name plate - in 1898 the company became Reynolds & Branson Ltd.

It's quite a nice kit as there's a case, the camera, standard and wide angle lenses, a Thornton Pickard shutter that appears to fit both lenses, two Book form plate holders, a little bag probably with Waterhouse stops for the Standard lens. The one lens has rotating wheel f stops these were onlt really used on wide angle rectilinear lenses.

I agree Alan it appears to almost certainly be Half plate, it's definitely not Whole plate, and even the smallest TP shutter is close to the width of the front standard of a Quarter plate field camera. The starting bid is £120, I'd suspect that as it's a complete kit it'll fetch closer to £400 than £200.

Hawleys don't a photography specialist, they have a Mentor Stereo reflex camera, listed as a Twin lens camera, an MCC enlarger listed as Thornton Pickard, and a Houghtons Victo camera also listed as Thornton Pickard. The last two because the lens is TP on the enlarger, and the Victo has a TP shutter.

There are auctions spcifical for Photographuc items, Flints and Aston's Auuctioneersd an Valuations.
