Hi, My name is Damian and I'm based in Leigh-on-sea in Essex. A keen amateur photographer, although I am not currently shooting on film. However, I do feel a real connection to film photography as I started out life in the Victorian times as a scanner operator and trained in colour for 4 years and have been in the printing industry ever since. As scanning and analogue film declined in our sector, I switched my focus to retouching and have been using Photoshop (creative & colour) since its UK launch.
Over the past few years I have been offering a scanning and photo restoration service and have seen an uptake in colour slide scanning as specialist companies outside of London seem thin on the ground. I would love to offer my Photoshop expertise to other members. Or indeed if anyone needs high res digitising of negatives or transparencies I would be happy to help. Speak soon!
